PM Narendra Modi finally spoke about the Uniform Civil Laws proposal, and said, "Can a country be run on two laws? On June 27, PM Narendra Modi said, "Will a family function if there are two different sets of rules for people?" PM Narendra Modi also slammed the opposition for appeasing Muslims with UCC, breaking India just for vote banks. Modi further asked BJP leaders to educate Muslims, to be aware.

Delhi: 3 AAP Leaders Join BJP
In a setback for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP,) three party leaders joined the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Delhi. On June 22, Vinod Jayas, Rajni Sodhi, and Rajnish were the three leaders who joined the BJP, in the presence of senior party leaders. Virendra Sachdeva Jayas, BJP State President said, "Eminent personalities want to join BJP and want to connect with today's ideologies."

India's PM Is Also Important, Says BJP Appealing Opposition To Attend Inauguration
Amid the boycott parliament inauguration cry of opposition, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) appealed to all the opposition to attend the inauguration ceremony, on May 28. "We all respect the President, I don't want to drag the post of the President into any controversy today by recalling what Congress said about her. But India's prime minister is also an important part of Parliament," said BJP to the opposition.

SC Rejects Plea Filed By 14 Opposition Parties
In a breaking news, the Supreme Court bench rejected the petition filed by opposition. Notably, on April 5, the Top Court rejected the plea filed by 14 non-BJP parties against the misuse of central agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI.) The court during the hearing said, "Can't make seperate rules for politicians". The opposition parties withdrew the plea.

Congress Are Propogating Black Magic With Protests, Says PM Modi
PM Narendra Modi took a dig at the opposition Indian National Congress after Gandhi's conducted a black protest over various issues like unemployment, price rise and others. On August 10, Modi said, the opposition is trying to propagate "black magic". "Some people are resorting to black magic as they are immersed in despair & negativity. Their period of despair will end," said PM Modi. He added people will never trust them.

TRS Announces Support To Margaret Alva For Vice Presidential Elections
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) announced to support Margaret Alva, the opposition candidate for the Vice President elections. On August 5, TRS leader Keshav Rao said, TRS President K Chandrashekar Rao decided to support Alva against the BJP candidate for the vice presidential election Jagdeep Dhankar. Notably, Margaret Alva is likely to meet TRS MPs in Delhi, on August 5 evening. Moreover, VP elections are scheduled on 6th August.

Opposition Terms Supreme Court's PMLA Upholding Verdict As "Dangerous"
Reacting to the Supreme Court verdict on the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, and power given to the E, 15 opposition parties have termed it as 'dangerous.' The opposition leaders issued a "joint statement" saying, "giving more powers to agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate is dangerous. Congress MP Jairam Ramesh shared the joint statement by 17 opposition parties against the Top Court's judgement on Twitter.
