Orange Alert Issued For Maharashtra, Telangana, Delhi

Maharashtra is witnessing torrential rainfalls for the last couple of weeks and no respite from heavy showers is expected in the coming days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Mumbai city and adjoining areas during the next 24 hours and has issued an orange alert for the district. Oher than Mumbai, Telangana and Delhi are also on alert for rianfall.

Orange Alert For Rain Issued In National Capital

Overnight heavy showers lash Delhi-NCR, orange alert issued for the weekend. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Delhi and its surrounding areas for the weekend. The department says moderate to heavy showers would lash the city for the next two days. Notably, monsoon has covered the entire nation earlier, and many states and cities like Rajasthan , Kerala and Mumbai and Telangana are on alert.

Maharashtra: Flooding Continues In Wardha Due To Heavy Rains; Orange Alert Issued In Gadchiroli, Gondia

Flooding continues to wreak havoc in parts of Maharashtra's Wardha district, as the region saw constant rains and overflowing dams, and rescue mission continues. Regional Meteorological Centre in Mumbai issued an orange alert in Gadchiroli and Gondia on July 18, anticipating thunderstorms and lightning with heavy rainfall. 102 people died due to rain and flooding from June 1 which impacted at least 28 districts.

IMD Issues 'Orange alert' For Mumbai For Next 5 Days; Anticipates Heavy Rains

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an "orange" alert for the next five days over Mumbai and the west coast of Maharashtra, forecasting torrential rainfall and high winds. KS Hosalikar, an IMD official, stated that severe rains are expected in Mumbai, Thane, and adjoining regions. Hosalikar further advised monitoring the Impact Based Forecast (IBF) and the Mumbai Flood Warning System IFLOWS.

Karnataka's Coastal Regions Hit By Heavy Rains; IMD Issues 'Orange Alert'

Heavy rains lashed through the coastal areas of Karnataka on June 29 and 30. The rainfalls resulted in inundated roads and water entering low-lying areas and buildings. Furthermore, roads were damaged and traffic was disrupted. IMD issued an 'orange alert' to Karnataka's coastal regions on June 30, and a 'yellow alert' for the rest of the week. IMD Issues Orange Alert In Mumbai, Predicts Rainfall For Next 48 Hrs

The IMD issued an orange alert in Maharashtra's Mumbai, Palghar, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg on June 20. The alert was in the view of heavy to very heavy rainfall in most parts of Mumbai, on June 19. According to the weather reports, Mumbai and its surrounding areas will receive moderate to heavy rains in the next 24-36 hours. Notably, the southwest monsoon arrived in the State earlier this week.
