BJP Promotes Organic Farming, To Launch Pan India Pad Yatra

In order to promote 'Organic Farming' scheme of the Central Government, the BJP Kisan Morcha will launch "Jan Abhiyan Padyatra". Launched on April 28 from Patna's Bhaktipura region, the 5 km yatra with 2,000 farmers would be led by BJPKM Chief Rajkumar Chahar. Mumbai Students Introduces 'Hydroponic' Farming To Limit Plastic Use

To limit the use of plastic and soil in agriculture and to negate environmental crisis, ten management students from Universal Business School (UBS), Mumbai, initiated "Project Roop"- a project to upcycle plastic bottles and use them in "hydroponic" farming. Reportedly, India alone generates 4,059 tonne of plastic waste every day. Hydroponic is a horticulture process where plants are grown in nutrient-rich water than soil.

MS Dhoni Orders All Black 'Kadaknath' Chicken Breed To his Organic Farm

Cricketer MS Dhoni has ordered for 2,000 chickens of poultry breed 'Kadaknath' at his organic farm. The famous black breed has a Geographical Indication tag and is liked for fat and cholesterol free chicken. The chickens will be provided to him by a tribal farmer Vinod Menda from Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh. However, Dhoni also contacted IS Tomar, the director of Kadaknath Research Centre at Jhabua, but failed to deliver.

Madhya Pradesh Tops in Organic Farming, Followed by Rajasthan and MH: CSE Survey

Madhya Pradesh recorded over 27% of land under organic cultivation, followed by Rajasthan and Maharashtra.
