Ek Villain Returns To Be Streamed On Netflix; Check Details Here
Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Balaji Telefilms and T-Series, action thriller "Ek Villain Returns" will be streamed on OTT platform Netflix, on September 9. Netflix announced the same through Twitter on August 30, with caption, "2x the action, 2x the thrill. #EkVillainReturns arrives on 9th September on Netflix." Released on July 29, the film has power cast of John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria.

OTT Platforms Have Potential To Disrupt Multiplex Business, Expected To Be Worth Rs 12,000 Crore By 2023
OTT sector is poised to replicate what multiplexes did to VCR/VCP/VCD segment, growing to a Rs 12,000-crore business by 2023. According to SBI Research, OTT industry would be worth Rs 11,944 crore by 2023, up from Rs 2,590 crore in 2018. The report cautions this might lead to a replay of the 1980s' unexpected demise of VCR/VCP/DVD sector, with the exponential development of multiplexes across metro/urban regions during early 2000s.

Netflix With Ad Likely To Affect Offline/Download Feature
Netflix is reportedly coming up with a new ad-supported tier for the users, making the platform's offline viewing feature unavailable to members on this low-end tier of the service. According to TechCrunch, within the Netflix iPhone app that suggested the streamer will block users from downloading titles to their devices for offline viewing. Source said, "Downloads available on all plans except Netflix with ads".
