Woman Gang Raped In Moving Train, 5 Arrested: Pakistan
In Pakistan's Karachi, an incident of gang rape of a woman (25) in a moving train was reported. Five staff of Bahaudin Zakira Express allegedly raped and filmed the incident to blackmail the victim confirmed police in its report submitted to the Judicial Magistrate (South) Shahnawaz, on June 12. Pakistan Reports 1st Omicron Case In Karachi Woman: COVID-19
Pakistan reported its first case of COVID-19's Omicron variant in a 57-year-old unvaccinated woman on December 13. The National Command and Operation Centre confirmed the news. "The National Institute of Health, Islamabad has been able to confirm that a recently suspected sample from Karachi is indeed the Omicron variant," tweeted NCOC. Reportedly, she's in quarantine at home and stable. The NCOC also urged people to get vaccine doses.

India Terms Election In PoK As 'Cosmetic Exercise'; Lodges Protest
Following the election in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) on July 25, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi has termed it a ''cosmetic exercise'' and also held a strong protest with the Pakistani officials on July 29. Bagchi added, that the elections “are nothing but an attempt by Pakistan to camouflage its illegal occupation.'' However, Pakistan PM Imran Khan's PTI won the elections with 25 seats.

Pakistan Revokes Tik Tok Ban Over Provincial Court's Decision
Pakistan lifts the TikTok ban on July 3, however, ordering it to address complaints as it featured offensive content. Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) had forbidden access to the Chinese-owned app for the third time, following a private citizen’s petition. Though the suspension was discredited by the app’s fan base, the critics notified that it promotes vulgarity and LGBTQIA content.

FATF Retains Pakistan Under 'Grey-List', Assigns New Task
Bad News! The Financial Action Task Force has not given any relief to Pakistan, retaining it on the grey-list during the virtually held plenary session on June 25. In a new development, the FATF said that Pakistan had been assigned 27 tasks but it failed to complete the last task of convicting terrorists. Besides, it has added other task, a list of 6-points mainly related to money laundering.

PM Imran Khan Denies To USA's Military Base Set-Up In Pakistan
Prime Minister Imran Khan has denied setting up any American military bases in Pakistan, in the fear of retaliation from terrorists. USA's aim in setting up bases is to make operations into Afghanistan easier. Further, Khan stated, the possibility of civil war in Afghanistan, would make his country an easy target for terrorists. Furthermore, he said that the USA and Pak have the same interests in mind regarding Afghanistan.

Pak PM Imran Khan Blames Women For Rape, Sexual Violence
In response to a question asked about government plans against rape & sexual violence, Pakistan PM Imran Khan said, “If a woman is wearing very few clothes it will have an impact on the man unless they are robots. It’s common sense.” Khan's interview on June 20, with Axio's Journalist Jonathan Swan was aired on HBO. He further spoke about purdah to avoid ''temptation'' as everyone does ''not has strong willpower.''

Hong Kong Suspends Flights From India, Pakistan, Philippines Till May 3
