Cooch Behar Clashes Kills 1, Leaves 4 Injured In Bullet Firing
In a fresh clash between groups, one was killed and four left injured. The violent clash broke out in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, in the morning of June 26. Sumit Kumar SP, Cooch Behar said, "A clash broke out between two groups in Gitaldaha, Cooch Behar. As per info, 5 people have received bullet injuries, of which one Babu Hoque has died." Police controlled the situation and launched an investigation.

Cong Wins 278 Panchayat Samiti Seats, BJP Bags 165: Rajasthan Panchayat Polls
The results for Panchayat elections in four Rajasthan districts were declared on December 21 and the ruling Congress dominated the elections by winning 278 seats of Panchayat Samiti members. Nomination Process For Bihar Panchayat Polls 2021 Kicks Off
Following the prolonged delays due to COVID-19, Bihar's State Election Commission has begun the nomination process for the panchayat elections on August 25, ending on August 31. The elections will be held in 11 phases in every district except those affected due to floods. The phases will kick off from September 24 and will conclude on December 12. The commission will start the counting after two days of voting.
