IPL 2023 Returns, Grand Ceremony On March 31

The awaited 16th season of the IPL is set to kickstart in a grand opening ceremony. On March 24, the BCCI announced about the inside information about the spectacular event, scheduled to be held on March 31, at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This year it will be home-and-away’ format after the pandemic this year with the 10 teams divided into two groups for the 70 league fixtures.

Delhi Logs 1,354 New COVID-19 Cases In 24 Hrs

After reporting over 1,400 COVID-19 cases on May 4, Delhi reported a dip in the case with 1,354 fresh cases the next day.  As per the Delhi Health Ministry, the national capital also registered 1,486 recoveries and one death due to the virus. Although cases decreased, the daily positivity rate for COVID-19 increased to 7.64%. In addition, the City administered 17,81,980 vaccine doses to the people till date.

WB Govt Launches Unique Open Air Classes For Students: COVID-19

Amid the COVID-19 situation, the West Bengal Government came up with a  unique physical classes idea.  To avoid violation of COVID-19 protocols, the TMC announced to conduct "Open Air Programme Paray Shikshalaya" in parks and clubs, for class I to VII. Monsoon Session Of Parliament To Begin From July 19

Amid the ongoing pandemic, the President has summoned the Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha for the monsoon session of Parliament which will start from July 19. The order issued stated that the session will likely end on August 13. Meanwhile, the members of both houses will simultaneously sit maintaining Covid protocols. Reportedly, 662 members from both houses have been administered with at least one dose of vaccine.

Cannes Film Festival To Open Up For 2021; Covid Negative Reports Mandatory

The Cannes Festival, cancelled in 2020 amid the Covid-19 pandemic is now set to start from July 6 to July 17. The organizers have made it mandatory for all the attendees to bring vaccination certificate for the vaccines which are approved by the European Medical Association. Besides, the people without vaccination will have to present their negative RT-PCR and antigen test report of less than last 48 hours.

COVID-19 Blues: MHA Rejects Sikh Group's Pak Visit For Pilgrimage

A group of 600 Sikh pilgrims, who were planning to visit Pakistan from February 18-25, has been denied permission by the Home Ministry.
