Underworld don Chhota Rajan, with his associates, have been sentenced two years imprisonment by Mumbai sessions court on January 4. Reportedly, Rajan and three others were accused of threatening a Panvel-based builder, Nandu Wajekar, for trying to extort Rs 26 crore. Rajan was approached by an agent named Parmanad Thakkar, as the victim Nandu refused to pay more commission. The Mumbai police are in search of the absconded Parmanand.
