Paralympics Propels LGBTQ's Visibility In World: Laurie & Robyn

Two wheelchair basketballers Laurie Williams and Robyn Love hoped Paralympics can change the people's views towards LGBTQ people and LGBT athletes with disabilities. Reportedly, over 30 LGBTQ athletes are competing at the Tokyo Paralympics, three times higher than that of the 2016 Rio games. Williams and Love got married in 2020 said they're not so famous but ''trying to show people that there are LGBT athletes with disabilities''.

Sports Ministry Include 8 Para-Athletes in TOP Scheme

Eight para-athletes have been included in Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) on November 27. The TOPS list include athletes for Men's discus throw, Men's High Jump, Para-Shooting which includes Women's 10m air pistol and Men's 50m Rifle Prone, and a Women's Double pair for Para-Badminton.
