1 Held For Attempting To Board Paris Flight With Fake Visa: Delhi

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel apprehended a man by the name Sushil Kumar who tried to board a plane with a "forged" visa, on March 23. The incident took place in the Terminal III of Indira Gandhi International Airport when the man reportedly created suspicion with the manner he was moving. Kumar attempted to board an Air India flight to Paris. He was then handed over to Delhi police.

US Receives 'Mini Statue Of Liberty' As Gift For Its Independence Day

The United States will be welcoming a smaller replica of the Statue of Liberty that has been shipped off on June 7 from the French port of Le Havre. The 10-foot tall bronze statue will embrace the Ellis Island after a nine-day trip as the US will be celebrating its Independence Day on July 4. The mini-lady liberty was earlier being displayed at Musee des Arts et Metiers in Paris.

Following a bomb alert and the discovery of a bag full of ammunition, surrounding areas of Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower in Paris were evacuated on October 27. Reportedly subway stations and traffic systems were also halted for a while. However, the transportation systems were restored later. The country is on high-alert after a teacher was beheaded by an 18-year-old Muslim over displaying of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in class.
