Atal Bihari Vajpayee Park To Be Set Up In Bengaluru, Says CM Bommai

The Karnataka state government on March 4, proposed to set up a 350 acre park to increase the area of greenery in the state. This was announced during the discussion of 2022-23 state budget in the legislative assembly. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai who also sees the Finance portfolio, announced that the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Park will be installed in the Jarakabande area of Yelahanka.

Pune Allows To Reopen 60 Gardens With Restrictions From January 25

Setting Up Of Kiosks To Sell Eatables At South Delhi Municipal Parks Soon

The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has planned to install booths in parks to sell fruits, milk and basic items to boost the pandemic-hit corporation's financial condition. The SDMC will provide 4.5 x 2.5 metres temporary sheds on rent that can be operated during fixed hours. The corporation will table the proposal in the next meeting. The kiosks will be provided for a maximum of seven years by the auction method.

Pune: Mayor Announces Re-Opening of Parks; No Group Activities Allowed

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Mayor Murlidhar Mohol confirmed that 81 parks will be reopened with restrictions from November 1. Reportedly, only individual activities like walking and jogging will be permitted and the parks will be open from 6 AM-8 AM and 5 PM-7 PM. However, PMC has barred group activities such as yoga, Diwali gatherings, laughter clubs and shooting in the parks to contain the virus spread.
