New Parliament Building Is Ready, Special Session To Be Held Here Soon
Ahead of the special Parliament session scheduled to start on September 18, a rehearsal is being undertaken during last three days before the session called by the government during 'Amrit Kaal', with both the new and old Parliament buildings made completely ready. According to government sources, for the special Parliament session, rehearsal was done for one day in the old building and two days in the new building.

As the special session of Parliament approaches with less than a week to go for the house to gather, reports claim that there would be sweeping changes made in the dress code of security guard staff and in the dress code of secretariat employees of both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha as the proceedings are likely to move to the new Parliament building during this special session itself.

Amit Shah To Congress, Why Congress Hate Indian Traditions?
Union Home Minister Amit Shah questioned the Indian National Congress, over the recent "Sengol" controversy. He accused the Congress of reducing the ceremonial sceptre Sengol, which will be installed near the chair of the speaker in the new Parliament building, to a "walking stick". "Why does the Congress party hate Indian traditions?" said Shah. Congress said that there's no evidence of sengol being a symbol of power transfer.

Opposition Parties Decided To Boycott New Parliament Building: Delhi
Opposing the inauguration of the new parliament building by PM Narendra Modi, the opposition parties announced to boycott the ceremony, on May 28. Like-minded parties like the TMC, CPI, Congress, AAP, DMK, RJD and other opposition parties expressed as why President of India Droupadi Murmu is not inaugurating the parliament building. In this regard, the MPs of opposition party in parliament issued a joint statement.

PM Modi Inaugurates Emblem Cast Of Parliament Building In Delhi
PM Narendra Modi unveiled the national emblem cast on the roof of the new Parliament building in Delhi, on July 11. The inauguration of the emblem, made of bronze of 9,500 kg is 6.5 metres in height is the first inauguration of the new building, which is under construction and will be ready by the end of 2022. Officials said the emblem has central foyer of the parliament building.

Gujarat's Trust To Donate Anti-Untouchability Coins For New Parliament
For laying the foundation for the upcoming parliament building, Ahmedabad-based human rights organisation Navsarjan Trust has launched a campaign to donate coins engraved with anti-untouchability message. The 1,111-milligram diameter coins, made of brass objects collected from locals, will have an inscription reading "Will the 1947 dream of untouchability-free India be a reality in 2047?" alongside images of Ambedkar-led Mahad Satyagrah.… read-more
