Suspended TMC MPs Protest Outside Parliament Near Mahatma Gandhi Statue
TMC MPs who were suspended from Rajya Sabha, staged a sit-in protest outside the parliament, near the Mahatma Gandhi Statue, on July 27. The MPs were suspended on July 26 for "unruly behaviour" and "disrupting proceedings". The suspended MPs include Sushmita Dev, Santanu Sen, Dola Sen, Mausam Noor, Shanta Chhetri, Abhi Ranjan Biswar, Mohd Nadidul Haque. TMC MP Suspended From Rajya Sabha For Remaining Monsoon Session
Shantanu Sen, a Rajya Sabha Trinamool Congress MP was suspended for misbehaving and inappropriate action on July 23 during the Monsoon Session of the Parliament. Sen grabbed and tore the statement on Pegasus report which was being read by Ashwini Vaishnav, the Minister of Information and Technology following which he was suspended from the rest of the session. The motion of his suspension was passed by a voice note.

'Ask Hard Questions Without Any Chaos' Says PM Modi To Opposition
PM Modi requested the opposition on July 19 to ask "the most difficult, sharpest questions" on the COVID situation but in a civilized manner so that the government can respond to them and the people. "This will boost the democracy, strengthen people’s trust and improve the pace of development,” he said ahead of the first Parliament monsoon session. The PM also urged citizens to get vaccinated and follow COVID protocols.
