Partha Chatterjee Steps Down As Chairman Of Management Institute In WB
Partha Chatterjee, the ex-TMC leader and Education Minister of WB, step down as the President of the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM.) The development came eight months after his arrest by the ED in connection with his alleged involvement in the multi-crore teachers' recruitment scam in the State. Notably, the decision was taken after pressure on the governing body. .

Teachers Recruitment Scam: ED Files Complaint Against Partha Chatterjee, Arpita Mukherjee & 6 Others

Partha Chatterjee Pleas For Bail, Appeal To Court In Tears
Partha Chatterjee, former West Bengal Education Minister broke down in tears demanding bail. During the SSC Recruitment corruption case hearing, the TMC leader was heard saying, "Give bail, let me live.". Notably, Partha was arrested in a money laundering and scam case by the ED and is being investigated under jail custody. The former West Bengal education minister Partha Chatterjee and his aide Arpita Mukherjee have been sent to three more days in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED.)
