Arvind Kejriwal Takes Dig At CBI Agencies After Summon Issued
After being summoned by the CBI in the Delhi Excise Policy Scam, Arvind Kejriwal took a dig at the agency. In a statement, the AAP President and Delhi CM Kejriwal said, If I pay Rs 1,000 crores to PM Narendra Modi will you arrest him. kejriwal further said, "Every day they arrest someone. The arrestees are tortured, mentally as well." He alleged central agency to play against Sisodia and him.

AIADMK Assures Action Against O Panneerselvam Amid Expel Demands
After announcing Edappady K Palaniswami as the General Secretary (GS) of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), the party assured to take action against O Panneerselvam (OPS). The statement came on July 11, after the demands to expel OPS and his followers out of the party, after claiming that OPS is a 'betrayer' of the AIADMK. Notably, the OPS and AIADMK are having issue over the single-leadership resolution issue.

EC Grants New Party Names, Symbols To Chirag Paswan & His Uncle
Ending the dispute between Chirag Paswan and his uncle Pashupati Paras over party names and symbols, the Election Commission on October 5, granted them new names and symbols. As per the EC's order, Chirag Paswan will use the "Lok Janshakti Party" name with the symbol of "helicopter". While Pashupati Paras' party will be called "Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party", with "sewing machine" as the symbol.

Bihar: EC Reduces Notice Period For Registration of Political Parties
The Election Commission has decided to bring down the notice period for registration of political parties in Bihar. Reportedly, the period has been reduced from 30 days to 7 days, applicable only till October 20. The EC said that the decision was taken considering that “there was dislocation and delay in moving applications for registration,” owing to the pandemic. Elections in Bihar are scheduled to be held from October 28.
