Patedar Quota Agitation

Prominent face of the Patidar quota agitation in Gujarat, Hardik Patel, has submitted his resignation from Congress, on May 18. He has resigned as the Gujarat Congress working president as well as from the party's membership. In a letter he wrote to party chief Sonia Gandhi, he said that "I hope my followers and people of Gujarat will welcome this step".
