Bihar: 3 Maoists Killed In Anti-Naxal Operation By CRPF's CoBRA
In an anti-Naxal operation by CRPF unit named 'CoBRA', three Maoists, including zonal commander Alok Yadav, have been killed in Bihar's Gaya district. The unit also recovered two rifles - an AK series and an INSAS. About 100 km from Bihar, the encounter occurred in the Barachatti forest area during the early hours of November 22. The bodies of the Maoists have been recovered from the encounter spot.

Man Open Fires During Chhath Pooja; 2 People Critical Among 7 Injured
During the Chhath Pooja at Chhapra's Mubarakhpur Ghat on November 20, a man open-fired celebratory shots, causing injuries to 7 people, of which 2 are critical. Accused Pranav Kumar Singh had come out of jail 12 days ago and has four other criminal cases registered against him, said police. The injured are being treated in Patna Medical College and Hospital. Reportedly, the incident happened when devotees were performing 'Arghya'.

Patna: Free Uber Rides To Polling Booths For Elderly, Differently-abled Voters
In a novel initiative, the Election Commission will provide free 'Uber rides' to polling booths to voters who are differently-abled or above 80 years, in Patna. Rides up to Rs 120 will be free and exceeding fare will be borne by the voter. Eligible voters will need to get a code by calling on toll-free number 18003451950. Constituencies of Digha, Bankipur, Kumhrar and Patna Sahib will go to the polls on November 3.

7 Men Rape 50-Year-Old in Bihar; Video Goes Viral, 6 Arrested, 1 Absconding
Patna Police are investigating the case of a 50-year-old woman gang-raped by seven men after a video of the assault went viral on social-media. The Police stated that the victim was traveling from Patna to her village (Gaurichak) when a man pretended to help her and offered her lift. He took her to a place where other men were already present. Reportedly, six are arrested so far and one is absconding.

SSR Case: Mumbai Police Recording 56 Witnesses' Statements Holds no "legal sanctity"
The Centre on August 13 told the Supreme Court that the Maharashtra Police's action of recording the statements of 56 witnesses in SSR's case has no backing in law. It said no FIR has been filed by the Maharashtra Police and the officers are "merely discharging functions under [CrPC] section 174". Besides, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed CBI has registered an FIR on the request of the Bihar Government.
