Bihar Judge Attacked By Policemen; HC To Probe The Incident
Avinash Kumar, additional district and sessions judge in Jhanjharpur subdivisional court, claimed on November 19 that a station house officer (SHO) of Ghoghardiha police station and a sub-inspector assaulted him by forcibly entering his chamber. Moreover, the judge also claimed that the two policemen even pointed a pistol at him. The Patna High Court took suo moto cognizance of the incident and set up a special division bench.

Bihar Government Imposes State-wide Lockdown Till May 15
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on May 4 announced a state-wide lockdown till May 15 to curb the rising COVID-19 infections. The crisis management committee formed by the government will announce guidelines and restrictions shortly, he added. The decision has been taken following the Patna high court order that asked the government to impose a lockdown to avoid court intervention. The state recorded 11,407 fresh COVID-19 cases on May 4.
