Residential areas in several parts of the Bhadrak district were overwhelmed by floodwater from the Baitarani river, putting an end to daily life for many. The district administration estimates that 80,000 to 90,000 individuals have been impacted by the flooding. "The administration took steps and boats along with other necessary help have been deployed," stated Siddeshwar Baliram Bondar, District Magistrate Bhadrak.

In Bhakarapet of Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, a bus fell off a cliff into the valley, on March 26. Ahead of the first-phase Manipur assembly elections, a bomb blast was reported in the Churachandpur district of the state, on February 26th evening. The blast claimed the lives of two people, including a 6-year-old child, and injured five others. Notably, Manipur police have found one fin unit of a mortar shell and some splinters at the explosion site, denying any terrorist activity.

Around 2.26 lakh people from 15 of the 34 districts in Assam were affected due to the Floods. Several roads, bridges, embankments, culverts, and other infrastructures have been destroyed.
