CM Yogi Inaugurated Pepsico's Largest Greenfield Food Plant At Mathura: UP
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on September 15 inaugurated Pepsico's largest greenfield food plant at Kosi Kalan in Mathura. To boost India's industrialization and to double its production by 2022, Pepsico announced an Rs 814 crore project in 2019. To fulfill the companies growing demand, it will source raw material from 5000+ local farmers from UP. It also aims to provide 1500 direct and indirect jobs (30% to women employees).

CPCB Penalise Coke, Pepsi, Bisleri For Flouting Plastic Disposal Norm
The Central Pollution Control Board has exacted penalties from Coke and Pepsi and bottled-water manufacturer Bisleri for infringing governmental obligations concerning plastic waste collection-disposal. Coca-Cola Ranked World's Worst Plastic Polluter For Third Time
Coca-Cola has been ranked worst plastic polluter in the world for the third consecutive year by Break Free From Plastic. Nestle and PepsiCo followed Coca-Cola in the list. PepsiCo Targets Indian Market; Increases UP Snacks Plant Investment
PepsiCo India President Ahmed ElSheikh stated that the company will increase the investment to Rs 814 crore in its snack plant in Uttar Pradesh since it is "extremely optimistic" about the future of Indian market. He informed that the investment would create 1,500 jobs. He further stated that the company has introduced new offers amidst the pandemic and according to experts, India will be PepsiCo's third-highest consumer market by 2025.
