Rajasthan HC Gave Important Judgement Over Right To Choose Gender
In a decision towards social change, the Rajasthan High Court said that every person has the right to fully enjoy all human rights. A single bench of justice Anoop Kumar Dhand ordered the authorities to consider modifying the service record of a person who was assigned the female gender at birth. Notably, a person who had been assigned female at birth and later underwent gender reassignment surgery (GRS) and changed.

Delhi HC Rejects Plea Filed Over Rs 2,000 Note Exchange
The Delhi High Court dismissed a public interest litigation (PIL) filed against the decision of no identity proof and requisition slip, in order to exchange Rs 2,000 notes. Kerala HC Dismisses Petition Filed Demanding Ban Of Kerala Story
In a relief for the makers of "The Kerala Story", the Kerala High Court, dismissed the plea filed against the release of the film. In a petition, the petitioners demanded a ban on the film, saying the story, claiming that 32,000 women of Kerala were converted to ISIS terrorists. However, the Kerala High Court refused to entertain the plea, leading to a safe zone for the release of the film.

SC Issues Notice To Gujarat HC In Pre Release Of Bilkis Bano Rape Convicts
The Supreme Court reviewed the petition filed against the premature release of 11 convicts in the Bilkis Bano Gang Rape in 2002. During the hearing, the Apex Court bench headed by CJI issued a notice to the Gujarat High Court, which issued the pre-mature release notice to the convicts and asked to submit a report into the matter. Notably, Bilkis Bano filed a petition against the release.

No Publishing House Allowed To Share Chargesheet Of Shradha Walkar Case
In a notice, the Delhi Court restrained all the media houses and publications to not publish anything about the chargesheet in the Shraddha Walker-Case. The order came after the Delhi Police moved the court, demanding restrictions to media houses, and asking for copies of the chargesheet. The police said the case chargesheet is not a public document. The controversial murder of Shradha Walkar by her boyfriend is under investigation.

SC Agrees To Review Plea Against Misuse Of Central Agencies
The Supreme Court agreed to list the petition filed by opposition parties, alleging arbitrary use of the Central agencies for probe and conspiracy against non-BJP parties. The Apex Court bench led by CJI DY Chandrachud adjourned the hearing for April 5. The plea was filed by 14 opposition parties, led by Congress. The parties are seeking pre- and post-arrest guidelines to be followed by agencies like CBI, ED.

Daughters Doesn't Lose Right On Property Even If Given Dowry, Court
A Goa bench of Bombay Court reviewed a peition and gave a historic judgement, saying a daughter has rights on their ancestral property. The court said, even if a daughter is given dowry, she doesn't lose rights on the family property.The court declared that the Plaintiff has an undivided right in the same and permanent injunction restraining the Defendants from transferring or conveying the said property, in the peitition.

SC Refers Same Sex Marriage To 5 Bench
Supreme Court reviewed the sam sex marriage issue, and referred all the pleas on same-sex marriage to a five-judge Constitution Bench. The case will be heard on April 18, confirmed sources. On March 13, a bunch of applications had been filed before Supreme Court which sought legal sanction for same-sex marriages. This is a developing story, more details are awaited.

SC Refuses To Stay Order On ECI Decision Against Uddhav Thackeray Plea
The Supreme Court (SC,) reviewed a petition filed by the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena faction, against the ECI decision. However, in a major setback to the Uddhav Thackeray-led Sena faction, the Top Court, refused to put stay on the ECI decision of giving the 'bow & arrow' symbol to the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction. In the hearing, the SC bench allowed the SS name with flaming torch.
