FDA Approves 1st COVID-19 Shot For Kids: US

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Pfizer, and BioNTech SE Coronavirus vaccines for children aged between 5 to 11 years. Reports stated that the FDA's decision is expected to make vaccines available to 28 million American children going to school. As of now, Only a few countries such as China, Cuba and United Arab Emirates have so far cleared vaccines for children, said reports.

Pfizer Becomes 1st Vaccine To Be Approved For Children Aged 12-15

Pfizer-BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine has become the first vaccine globally to be approved for children aged between 12-15 years. The vaccine was approved by the European Union drug regulator on May 28 with no "major concerns" remark. Following the approval, Germany plans to start vaccinating those aged 12 and above in June. Israel Finds Partial Vaccine Efficacy Against Indian COVID Variants

The Israel authorities have found eight COVID cases of Indian variant and interestingly they have showed at least partial efficiency against Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine. The Israeli health ministry's director-general, Hezi Levy, told Kan public radio that Pfizer vaccine has efficacy against it, albeit a reduced efficacy. Reportedly, Britain and Ireland are also investigating the Indian variants after detecting them within their borders.
