British Grandma Becomes First To Get Covid Vaccine In World

An elderly British woman Margaret Keenan has become the first individual on the planet get a trial independent Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. The 90-year-old Keenan has been vaccinated at a local clinic in England's Coventry on December 8. Keenan, who will turn 91 next week, has described the vaccine as the best gift for her birthday. Earlier, Britain became the first nation to start mass vaccination by rolling out Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines.

UK Gets Pfizer Consignment; Queen To Receive COVID Vaccine First

Britain's Queen Elizabeth (94) and Prince Philip (99) will probably be among the first people to get shots of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. The British authorities are planning to inoculate people above 80 years of age on priority. Moreover, the first batch of 800,000 Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines has reached the UK from Belgium. Also, it is believed that vaccinating the leading figures will alleviate the ongoing anti-vaccine sentiments.
