In a tragic incident, seven people were killed as an Ambulance collided with a truck, in UP's Fatehganj Paschim, on May 31. The driver, suspected to have dozed off, lost control and rammed into a divider, which resulted in the Ambulance coming onto the other side of the road and hitting the truck. Kurshid (55) was taking his wife Sagiran (52) for treatment in the ambulance, when the tragedy occurred. 

In UP's Pilibhit, two brother were electrocuted while irrigating their fields, on April 24. The deceased have been identified as Rajendra Prasad (54) and Rameshwar Dayal (46), both residents of Lalaur Gujranpur village. Ranjendra while cleaning the water drain with an iron bar, accidentally touched the wire of tubewell, which resulted in his electrocution. A tiger attacked three people in the forest area near Ghugrai-Diuria road in Philibhit district of Uttar Pradesh. Following the attack, two people died while one sustained injuries. Reportedly, the trio were traveling on a bike at night when the tiger suddenly attacked them. ''One of them managed to climb up a tree while the other two died. Bodies have been sent for post mortem,'' said Philibhit SP.
