Smriti Mandhana Becomes 1st Indian Woman To Score Ton In Pink-ball Test

While playing against Australia in Queensland's Carrara, Smriti Mandhana became the first Indian woman to hit a century in a pink-ball women's cricket Test on October 1. Mandhana took 170 balls to score the Test century. Madhana said, ''I just don't look at the scorecard...I didn't really plan anything.'' Reportedly, she kept a pink ball in her kit bag for three months to make herself familiar with it.

Indian Women Cricket Team To Play 1st Day-Night Test Against Aussies

BCCI secretary Jay Shah on May 20 announced that the Indian women’s cricket team will play its maiden pink-ball Test later this year against Australia. Sharing the news on Twitter, Shah cited the move as a part of the BCCI’s "commitment towards women’s cricket”. Notably, India’s maiden pink-ball Test against Australia will be the second such game to be played in the women’s cricket history.

ICC Approves Motera Pitch; Gives 'Average' Rating For Pink Ball Test

The International Cricket Council has approved the Motera stadium pitch giving it an 'average' rating. Sourav Ganguly Says BCCI Determined To Host England In India

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has denied speculations that England's tour to India will get shifted to the UAE. He announced that the board is "determined" to host the world champions and are examining ways to host them. Reportedly, three venues are in the list for conducting the test-matches and Ahmedabad is expected to conduct the day-night test. The tour will start from January for five tests and a limited-over series.
