Union Govt Launches Credit Guarantee Schemes For Startups In India
In order to extend support to start-ups in India, the BJP-led Central Government announced "Credit Guarantee Scheme". On October 7, the Commerce Union Minister Piyush Goyal said, "Government enables eligible companies to borrow collateral-free money up to Rs 10 crore making sure they reach their true potential,." The move will help micro businesses and start-up establishments to not only take risks but, provide guaranteed loan schemes.

India Minister Invites University Of New South Wales To Expand In India
Visiting the University of New South Wales, Union Minister Piyush Goyal invited the university to expand in India and enhance the education partnership between the two countries. Piyush Goyal Calls For Increasing Export Share In GDP To 25%

Govt Aims 75 Unicorns, Taking Steps To Boost Startups: Piyush Goyal
Union Minister Piyush Goyal, ensured necessary steps taken by the Central Government ro boost economy of startups in India. During an event, Goyal said India aims to gain 75 unicorn in 75 weeks, till the 75th Independence Day, from current 43 unicorns added in 45 weeks, from March 2021. Goyal also released Nasscom Tech Startup Report 2022. Notably, start-up industry is rising seed-fundings and investments from large entities in India.

India-UK Trade: Aims To Boost Economy & Employment Between 2 Countries
India and UK launched negotiations on Free Trade Agreement at an event in New Delhi. Indian Minister Piyush Goyal and UK Trade Secretary Annie Marie Trevelyan initiated talks that could benefit the economy of both countries. ''We'll expand trade between the countries to increase employment for both'', quoted Mr Goyal. The agreement will boost the total trade of Rs 2 trillion a year by 2035.

India Will Achieve $400 Billion Export Target In 2021-2022: Piyush Goyal
Piyush Goyal, the Union Minister for Commerce and Industrt, on December 18, assured that in 2021-2022, India will achieve USD 400 billion export target. Goyal further said, "The UAE will become a gateway for Indian trade to the Middle East and Africa and we may set up a huge mart to tap the market". Meanwhile, Talks on India-UAE Free Trade Agreement, with an investment of USD 100 billion in India, are underway, said Goyal.
