Japanese PM Fumio Kishida Starts His 2-day Visit To India

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is set to start his two-day visit to India, to discuss the ongoing Ukrainian crisis at the 14th India-Japan Annual Summit. The summit was last held in Tokyo, in October 2018. Kishida's visit shows the support as partners in the Special Strategic and Global Partnership. Various Japanese companies operate in India and Japanese courses are set up in various colleges.

Japan's New PM Fumio Kishida Set To Announce General Election

After taking charge as the new Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida is reportedly ready to dissolve the current parliament and will call an election for October 31. The 64-year-old Kishida, a former foreign minister, defeated three contenders last week to lead the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). It's being said, ''if he wins comfortably in the general election,'' he will easily win the next year's upper house election.
