PMC Issues Orders To Cover Manholes In Region: Maharashtra

The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) issued an order to cover manholes and install protective nets on the sewerage lines in the area. The maintenance work would be done under the guidance of municipal commissioner Ganesh Deshmukh, City Engineer Sanjay Jagtap and Deputy Commissioner Sachin Pawar. The orders came after a meeting, on June 18. The officials said, if manholes are not covered, during rain major accidents could happen.

Pune: Mayor Announces Re-Opening of Parks; No Group Activities Allowed

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Mayor Murlidhar Mohol confirmed that 81 parks will be reopened with restrictions from November 1. Reportedly, only individual activities like walking and jogging will be permitted and the parks will be open from 6 AM-8 AM and 5 PM-7 PM. However, PMC has barred group activities such as yoga, Diwali gatherings, laughter clubs and shooting in the parks to contain the virus spread.
