Delhi Govt Extends Its Free Ration Scheme Till May 2022

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on November 6 announced that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has decided to extend its free ration scheme by six months until May 2022 in the capital. Central Govt: Open Ration Shops Throughout The Month For Longer Durations

The Central government has urged the states on May 16 to ensure the ration shops are open throughout the month and for longer durations due to the pandemic. The Centre is also distributing food grains under the National Food Security Act and Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. Several guidelines issued by Union Food Ministry also asked the Fair Price Shops to distribute the ration adhering to COVID-19 protocols.
