Odisha Govt Announces Rs 445.75 Cr To Save Jubos From Electrocution

The Odisha government on October 1 allotted Rs 445.75 crore to power distribution companies in the state to take all precautionary measures to save elephants from being electrocuted. The money will be used to cover all naked overhead 11 kilovolts KV Lines here. Reportedly, poachers also use naked low tension (LT) power lines to kill the animals. Odisha has lost 7 jumbos in the last 10 months.
