Amid festive season, the Delhi Police conducted a raid and seized 100 kgs of banned firecrackers, confirmed police on October 24. Special Staff East District was directed to keep a watch over the sale and purchase of banned crackers in the East District. Faridabad police on Sunday night arrested a truck driver ferrying 500-kilograms of banned firecrackers and seized the contraband that he allegedly bought from Palwal for ₹1.5 lakhs.

In a shocking incident, a police constable was shot dead by bike-borne assailants in Bihar's Vaishali district. According to an eyewitness, the incident took place when Amitabh Kumar, posted at Sarai police station, was checking vehicles near UCO bank at Sarai Bazar Chowk on October 16. As per an eyewitness, "one of the miscreants opened fire on the police team." This is second incident of police being target.

Malayalam actress Divya Prabha left her fans outraged and worried after she revealed that she was harassed by her co-passenger on a flight from Mumbai to Kochi recently. The incident took place on October 9, following which she has lodged a formal police complaint. The actress took to her Instagram handle to share her shocking ordeal, and added that despite complaining to the air hostess, no proper measure was taken.

In a shocking incident, police recovered a half-burnt body of a woman, suspected to be between 20-22 years old. As per sources, the body was recovered from Papad village, Jaipur, on September 29. The police have suspected that the body was burnt to erase the evidence and launched an investigation. Furthermore, the forensic team also collected the body and started their study for body's identification. Investigation is underway.

Nerul police have arrested a 74-year-old man for allegedly kidnapping a four-year-old girl from Nerul. The police traced the accused after going through hundreds of CCTV footage. The accused was caught in Darave village and the child was rescued. The four-year-old girl living in a hut near Nerul railway station had gone missing. Senior Inspector Tanaji Bhagat after a complaint was received with the Nerul Police in this regard.
