Man Found Dead With Bullet Injuries In Shopian, Police Launches Investigation
In Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district, a man identified as Manzoor Ahmad Nangroo was found dead, confirmed police on September 6. The man was in a mysterious condition, with injuries of bullet in an orchard, in Shopian. The 30-year-old Manzoor was a resident of Hanja, Pulwama. Furthermore, the Jammu and Kashmir Zone Police registered a case and started an investigation into the case.

Youth Arrested For Raping A Minor In Srinagar, Investigation Underway
A person has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl here, police said on September 2. The accused was absconding after committing the crime four days ago and identified Aijaz Ahmad was arrested for raping a minor girl in Srinagar. The police confirmed the same through a Twitter post. Furthermore, a case has been registered under the IPC sections and POCSO Act and an investigation is underway.

Goa Police Make 2 Additional Arrests In Sonali Phogat Death Investigation, Including Restaurant Owner
Goa Police on August 27 detained the owner of Curlies Beach Shack in Anjuna and a suspected drug seller Dattprashad Gaonkar in connection with the murder of actor and BJP politician Sonali Phogat, bringing the total number of arrests in the case to four. Phogat's PA and his friend were recently detained. During interrogation, the duo admitted they had purposefully had her consume a beverage laced with an "obnoxious" chemical.

Farmer Tries To Immolate Himself Outside Vidhan Sabha: Maharashtra
In a shocking incident, a man claiming to be a farmer from Osmanabad attempted self-immolation outside Maharashtra Assembly on August 23. Identified as Subhash Bhanudas Deshmukh, the man has been admitted to the nearest hospital by the police and has suffered 20% burn injuries. The police registered a case and launched an investigation, to know the reason behind the extreme step taken by the self-claimed farmer.

CCTV To Be Installed As Per Delhi Court Order At Tihar Jail's Senior Police Offices
The Director General of Tihar Jail has been ordered by the Delhi Court to install CCTV cameras within the offices of the jail's Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent. The court recently issued an order, stating, "It will further reflect transparency in the functioning of these offices."
