A video has surfaced on the internet showing an abduction attempt carried out by a group of men in UP's Bhadohi. The incident reportedly took place near the Pashchimi Trimuhani of Modh Chowki area in the city on Saturday early morning. The attempt of abduction was captured in a CCTV camera installed near the scene of the incident. However, the attempt failed and case is registered to nab the accused.

The Anantnag encounter, which can be considered one of the longest, has entered Day 7, on September 19. Security forces believe around one to two terrorists are still trapped while a charred body of one of the terrorists, was retrieved in the morning. Samples have been collected for DNA testing as another body, which was also recovered from the spot, can be of army personnel, identified as Pradeep.

In a shocking incident, reported in Thane, seven workers lost their lives when an elevator plunged from the 40-storey Runwal Eirene building in the Balkum area. Two other workers sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a private hospital. Upon receiving information about the incident, local police and fire brigade personnel rushed to the scene, and the police are currently investigating the matter. 

 A 13-year-old girl in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur district saved herself after being pushed off a bridge by her mother's live-in partner by clinching onto a plastic pipe. The girl, Keerthana, was pushed off the bridge into Godavari river early morning on Sunday along with her mother Puppala Suhasini (36) and sister Jersey (1). The 13-year-old, however, held on to a plastic pipe and dialled 100 for police help.

Another development reported in the Harayana-Nuh violence, the police chief in Nuh has been transferred with immediate effect. The transfer orders of Varun Singla came in the view that he was on leave when the violent communal clash broke out, killing six people and leaving hundreds injured. Superintendent of Police (SP) of Haryana Narendra Bijarniya had to rush to Nuh, as the police chief was absent on the spot.
