In Mumbai's Mira Road, an auto-driver identified as Rajendra Rama Yadav (50) was robbed off a gold chain worth Rs 50,000, confirmed police on March 23. Notably, two people posing as passengers allegedly offered a cold drink to Rajendra. In the drink, the thieves posed as passengers and felt unconscious, and woke up two days later, at a hospital. Later, the auto-driver rushed to the police and registered a case.

In Pune, a 44-year-old techie allegedly murdered his wife and eight-year-old son at their residence and later, committed suicide.  Identified as Sudipto Ganguly, he murdered his wife Priyanka and son Tanishka on March 15, confirmed sources.  The incident came to light after the victim's brother tried to contact him but got no response. Furthermore, the police registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.

In Punjab, Bathinda, a statue of Mahatma Gandhi was vandalised by some unidentified people at a public park. The police confirmed the incident on July 16, and assured investigation under the SHO Harjot Singh Mann.
