Congress MLA Mamman Khan has been arrested in connection with the July 31 Nuh violence case, police said on September 15.The Ferozepur Jhirka legislator, who was named as an accused in an FIR lodged after the communal clashes, was arrested late last night. Satish Kumar, Ferozepur Jhirkha Deputy Superintendent of Police and the head of the SIT investigating the case, confirmed the arrest.
In a shocking incident, a man allegedly murdered his girlfriend by drowning her in a bucket full of water. Manohar Shukla (43) committed the crime after the victim refused to withdraw a rape complaint against him. Moreover, Shukla with her wife Poornima placed the victim's body in a suitcase, embarked on a journey spanning over 150 kilometres, from Palghar, Mumbai, and dumped body. Both Shukla and Poornima are arrested.
A Lieutenant Colonel in the Army posted at Uttarakhand's Dehradun has been arrested for murdering a Nepali woman whom he had spotted at a dance bar in West Bengal's Siliguri and brought along to the hill state, Dehradun police said, adding that they solved the murder within 24 hours after finding a body of a woman in a suspicious condition in the Sirwal Garh locality.
A 16-year-old boy died by suicide by jumping off fifth floor of his residential building in Prateeksha Nagar. The victim’s father is an officer in the BMC. After the incident, he suffered from high blood pressure and was admitted to a hospital. A police officer said that the incident took place on August 8, evening but came in light on August 10. A case is registered for investigation.
In a shocking incident in Hyderabad, a mother hanged herself to death after her son failed CA examination. The incident occurred in Balaji Nagar Enclave of Gajularamaram in Hyderabad, on August 9. The deceased identified as Pushpa Jyothi (41) hanged herself from a ceiling fan in her house. Her husband is a private employee and have two sons. Furthermore, a case is registered and investigation is launched.
A threat call was received in the control room of the Mantralay on Monday night, August 7. The caller threatened that a terrorist attack is going to happen in the next two days. The police tracked and arrested the caller. The name of the caller is Prakash Kishanchand Khemani (61.) In the past one month, this is the second such threat call received by the police. An investigation is underway.
Noted art director Nitin Desai has died. He was found dead at his N D Studio in Karjat on Wednesday morning. However, the initial reports suggest that he died by suicide and was said to default on Rs 252 crore loan, said sources. Further details about the cause of death are yet to be shared. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation.

A Chennai man identified as Sivaprathaban (41) met with a fatal accident, later sucummbed to injury. Left home on July 18, to buy dinner for family, Sivaprathaban collided with a biker, who not only fled the spot leaving the bleeding man, but also stole the victim's phone. Furtherore, the fatal accident captured in the CCTV footage also showed the dying humanity, as of the 11 passerby, none helped the man.

A tomato farmer in Andhra Pradesh's Annammaya district was brutally strangled to death, said police on July 13. As per the initial investigation, the farmer was returning to his village from the field after earning Rs 30 lakhs from tomato sales. On his way, he was interrupted by a few unidentified men, with the intention of robbery attacked the farmer and murdered him. A case is registered for investigation.
In a deadly accident at Nagpur-Mumbai Super-Expressway at Buldhana, 25 people died and 5 got injured when a bus caught fire. The bus, belonging to Vidarbha Travels, was travelling from Nagpur to Pune, near the Sindhkhedraja area at around 1:15 AM. The police further said, the bus was overspeeding and hit a divider, causing a major fire, which shared 25 people, in their sleep. A case is registered for investigation.
