Policeman Shot Dead At Anantnag's Bijbebara: J&K

Unknown gunmen have shot dead a police constable in Hassanpora village of Bijbebara area in Anantnag district of South Kashmir on January 29. Sources said that gunmen suspected to be militants shot at a policeman, identified as Ali Mohammad Ganaie, in Hassanpora village, due to which he received injuries to his head and died on the spot. Reportedly, the area was cordoned off soon after the attack took place.

Viral 'Joyride' Video Leaves 3 Cops Suspended: Gujrat

Three police constables were suspended in Kutch Gujrat, as the video of them enjoying their car-ride, dancing, and singing has gone viral on social media. Reports said concerned SP Mayur Patil took against the said policemen, and called it "indecent behaviour". These cops offended the traffic rules, and were without masks, sources said. Notably, the video was taken by one of policemen apparently, however date of the journey wasn't known.

Policeman, JeM Militant Killed In Kulgam Encounter: J&K

A policeman from Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K police, and a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant were killed in a gunfight at Kulgam Kashmir, while three army-men and two civilians were also injured. The SOG personnel was identified as Selection-grade Constable Rohit Chib, while the dead JeM militant has been identified as Babar Bhai, a Pakistani national. Maha Policeman Loses Both Eyes To Black Fungus; Shoots himself

After losing both eyes to black fungus (Mucormycosis), a 46-year-old policeman allegedly shot himself with his service pistol in Maharashtra's Nagpur city on July 3. According to the police officials, head constable Pramod Mergurwar contracted black fungus following the recovery from COVID-19. However, Mergurwar lost both his eyes during the treatment of fungus infection. Besides, he is survived by his wife and two children.

Gujarat Police Officials To Wear Live Streaming Cameras On Uniforms

In a novel initiative, Gujarat Police's sub-inspector and superior-ranked officials will be equipped with body cameras. Initially starting with the traffic department, the cameras will be enabled for all policemen gradually with live streaming relayed to the control room.
