Muslims living and working in Haryana's Gurugram apparently continue to be the target of hate crimes, after posters threatening the residents of a slum in Sector 69A of the 'mega city' were put up on Sunday night. A majority of the residents of this slum are Muslims.There were also posters specifically targeting Muslim women and these come days after a mazar in a Gurugram village was set on fire.
The centre's affidavit in the Supreme Court on the Bihar government's decision to conduct a caste survey, and its correction hours later, has "exposed the BJP" and its "motive to block the survey", the Opposition has alleged. This comes after an affidavit filed yesterday said only the centre can conduct a "census or any action akin to the census". The back-to-back affidavits sparked a massive row, political parties and BJP.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Aditynath assures that everything is fine in the State. On April 24, CM Yogi in a press meet said that there is no curfew, no danga in the State amid the Atiq Ahmed's Murder Case. "Earlier daughters were afraid to leave their homes. The drift between the Congress and NCP leader Sharad Pawar is likely to intensify, after the disagreement of Pawar in the recent Adani Hindenburg report, matter. The Delhi High Court (HC) issued notice and passed an interim order in favour of Delhi Lt. General Vinay Kumar Saxena, regarding a defamation case, filed against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs. Notably, AAP leaders accused Saxena of illegal corrupt activities in Delhi. However, Delhi Lt. General denied the allegations and filed an interim injunction against AAP leaders, asking them to restrain from levelling baseless allegations.
Madras High Court (HC) issued fresh orders in regard to the leadership of the All India Anna Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general council meeting. Justice G Jayachandran ordered in the favour of O. Panneerselvam, who opposed the election of Edappadi K Palaniswami as an interim general secretary during the July 11 general council meet will not be valid. Hearing the plea, the single-bench judge issued a fresh council meeting for AIADMK.
