Congress' CWC To Hold Meeting On Oct 9, Will Discuss Political Strategy
Congress' top decision-making body CWC will meet on October 9 to deliberate on the current political situation and further firm up the strategy for the upcoming round of state polls. The meeting comes just over three weeks after the first meeting of the reconstituted Congress Working Committee (CWC) was held in Hyderabad on September 16 to evolve a strategy for the upcoming assembly polls in five states, and 2024 elections.

ED Attaches Property Worth Rs 6.2 Crores Of RJD's Lalu Prasad Yadav
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on July 31, attached properties of Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family in connection with land for job scam. The RJD leader and former Union Railway Minister's properties worth Rs 6.2 crore has been attached by ED, confirmed reports, which is a major blow to the party. This is the third time that the Enforcement Directorate has attached properties of Lalu Prasad and his family.

Congress Presidential Election Notification Releases On Sep 22
The All India Congress Committee (AICC) issued an official notification regarding the Congress presidential elections. On September 22, the AICC issued the notification, which mentioned the nomination process to begin on September 23-September 30. The scrutiny will be done on October 1, and last date to withdraw nomination is on October 8. The election will be held on October 17 and results will be out on October 19.

SC Asks Commission To Look Into Freebies Promised By Political Parties
Supreme Court directed the concerned authority to resolve the issue of freebies announced by political parties in India. On July 26, the Apex Court bench led by CJI NV Ramana said, " Maybe we can invite the Commission to look into this aspect. The Centre cannot be expected to issue directions". The development was came in view of a plea filed, demanding to seize freebies by political parties, during elections.

AIADMK Assures Action Against O Panneerselvam Amid Expel Demands
After announcing Edappady K Palaniswami as the General Secretary (GS) of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), the party assured to take action against O Panneerselvam (OPS).
