Tokyo Olympics: IOC Ease Ban Over Athlete's Freedom Of Expression
Easing the abiding ban on political protests during the Olympic Games, athletes can now “express their views” in Tokyo 2020. After releasing new guidelines on June 2, IOC stated that athletes can now express their views against racial injustice, speak to the media, and wear clothes expressing their political views after and before the game. However, statements during games at Olympic village or victory ceremonies, are off the list.
