Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker and her husband Fahad Ahmad have been blessed with their first child, a baby girl. Swara gave birth to the baby on September 23. The couple shared the happy news with their fans and followers via an official statement, on September 25. The couple has named their daughter Raabiya, after the Sufi mystic Rabia Basri. The name also means spring and/or queen.

A chilling CCTV footage that has surfaced from Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district, a local BJP leader from Sambhal was shot dead at point blank range on Thursday (August 10). The leader, Anuj Chaudhary, was active in politics and the incident took place outside his house in Moradabad on Thursday evening, said police. The police has registered a case and are investigating the rivalry angle.

In a shocking incident, naxal attacked a former MLA Gurcharan Nayak, in which two security personnel died. In this regard, the NIA has filed its second supplementary charge sheet in a case related to the attack, that happened in Jharkhand. The charge sheet was filed in a special NIA court in Ranchi against two armed cadres, 25-year-old Tivari Bankira alias Shaka and 20-year-old Sadan Korah alias Sajan, who belongs to Maoist.

Notably, in a tweet Bollywood actress turned politician called Bihu, a festival of Bihar, and got trolled by netizens. Rectifying her mistake, the Mathura MP took to Twitter and shared, "By mistake, I have put Bihu is a festival celebrated in Bihar. I am sorry! That should read Bihu, festival of Assam".
TMC MP Mimi Chakraborty lashed out at Emirates airline after finding a hair inside her in-flight meal. On February 22, the actor-turned-politician tweeted, "Dear @emirates i believe u hav grown 2 big to care less about ppl travelling wit u. Finding hair in meal is not a cool, i believe." Former CM of J&K Mehbooba Mufti, who planned to protest against the encroachment drive of the Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Administration has been detained.
