YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Releases 1st Tranche Of YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme
AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy disbursed the first tranche of YSR Rythu Bharosa PM Kisan Yojana scheme. The amount was disbursed directly into the account of farmers at an event at Pathikonda in the Kurnool district. During an event, YS Jagan disbursed an amount of Rs. 3,923.22 crores, benefiting over 51,000 farmers. Besides the scheme amount, subsidy of Rs. 53.62 crores was given to rain-affected farmers, who lost their crops.

SC To Hear PIL Filed Against Parliament Inauguration
The Supreme Court is likely to hear a public interest litigation (PIL) filed against the inauguration of the new parliament building, by PM Narendra Modi. Notably, there has been a ruckus with the opposition, who called for a "boycott parliament" inauguration by PM Modi, and demanding the inauguration by President Droupadi Murmu. As of now, 21 opposition parties, including Congress, AAP and DMK announced to skip the event.

Imran Khan Challenged Martial Law, Files Plea In SC
Pakistan's former prime minister Imran Khan has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the government invoking Article 245 in several provinces, terming it “undeclared martial law”. Opposition Parties Decided To Boycott New Parliament Building: Delhi
Opposing the inauguration of the new parliament building by PM Narendra Modi, the opposition parties announced to boycott the ceremony, on May 28. Like-minded parties like the TMC, CPI, Congress, AAP, DMK, RJD and other opposition parties expressed as why President of India Droupadi Murmu is not inaugurating the parliament building. In this regard, the MPs of opposition party in parliament issued a joint statement.

PM Modi Again Raises Temple Vandalism Issue In Australia, Albanese Assures Action
PM Narendra Modi raised the issue of temple vandalism in Australia and asked for prevention in this regard. In his meeting with Australian PM Anthony Albanese, Modi said, "PM Anthony Albanese and I have in the past discussed the issue of attack on temples in Australia and activities of separatist elements. We discussed the matter today also." Furthermore, Australian PM took the matter seriously and assured to take strict action.

Telangana Govt To Organize 21 Days Grand State Formation Event
The K Chandrashekar Rao-led Telangana Government is all set to celebrate the formation of the state. In 2014, the Telugu region, then part of Andhra Pradesh won the statehood battle, resulting into being another state, Telangana. Starting on June 2, the BRS-led Government is planning to hold a grand celebration, marking ten years of the state formation. The event will showcase the achievements of BRS, and continue for 21-days.

Siddaramaiah, DK Shivakumar To Take Oath As CM & Deputy: Karnataka
Siddaramaiah and D.K. Shivakumar are all set to take oath as the CM and Deputy CM of Karnataka, at 12:30 pm. The event is organized at Kanteevara Stadium, Bengaluru, and will be attended by several southern leaders and senior Congress leaders. Besides CM and Deputy, eight Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) will also take oath as Cabinet ministers. Notably, Congress secured 137 seats and won the Karnataka Assembly elections.

Imran Khan's Pre Arrest Bail Extended Till May 31
A top Pakistani court extended pre arrest bail for Imran Khan, the former PM of Pakistan, until May 31. The court issued order to prevent the arrest of Khan in any case filed against him after May 9. The Islamabad High Court (IHC) ruling came after the government’s lawyer requested more time to provide information about the cases filed against the 70-year-old Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party chief held on Wednesday.
