PM Modi To Begin His 2-Days South India Tour, To Launch Projects

PM Narendra Modi is all set to begin his two-day south Indian tour, on April 8. The visit ahead of the 2023 elections in the poll-bound state will start from Telangana. In Telangana, PM Modi is scheduled to launch development projects worth Rs 11,300 crores. The projects include awaited Vande Bharat Train between Secunderabad-Tirupati. Besides this, Modi will also lay the foundation stone for AIIMS in Bibinagar.

PM Modi To Tour Karnataka, Tamil Nadu And Telangana On April 8-9

PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, on April 8 and 9. The visit ahead of the 2023 state assembly elections hold a significance importance for the BJP, which is making efforts to form government in Karnataka for another round and win in Telangana and Tamil Nadu. Election Results 2022, BJP Emerges As Big Winner In 4 Poll Bound State

After rounds of counting in Manipur and Uttarakhand, the Election Commission of India (ECI) confirmed the majority seats to the BJP. While the national government party secured 20 seats in Uttarakhand, it won 17 seats in Manipur. On March 10, the ECI officials started counting votes in the five polls-bound states, UP, Manipur, Goa, Punjab and Uttarakhand, of which except Punjab all the four states is expecting BJP government.

EC Announces Ease In Campaign, Allows Padyatra & Extra Hours

In a relief to political parties, the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced relaxations. According to the issued notification on February 12, padayatras with a limited people are allowed. In addition, poll campaign hours have been extended for four hours, 6:00 am to 10: pm, from the previous 8:00 am to 10 pm. Notably, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Punjab and Manipur are set to contest Assembly elections.

Centre Removes PM Photo From Vaccination Certificates In Poll-Bound States

The Union Health Ministry has instructed the removal of PM Narendra Modi's photo from the COVID-19 vaccination certificates to be issued in four poll-bound states, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Assam, West Bengal, and UT of Puducherry. The ministry took the decision after the TMC filed a complaint with the Election Commission, calling the photo a violation of the poll code.
