Dr Arvind Goyal Donates Property Valued At Rs 600 Crore To UP Govt
Dr Arvind Goyal, a resident of Moradabad of Uttar Pradesh is becoming a symbol of giving and service, as he donated his entire property to the Uttar Pradesh Government for poor people. On July 21, Dr Goyal donated his property value worth Rs 600 crore, to Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath. He has been working for helping poor since decades and adopted 50 villages, during lockdown, providing free-facilities to poors.

Budget 2022-23 Focuses On Poor, Middle-Class & Youth: PM Modi
PM Narendra Modi stated that the Union Budget 2022-23 focuses on providing basic necessities to the middle-class, poor and youth, on February 2. He further stated that this year's budget will lead the country towards "modernization". He said, "seven to eight years ago, India's GDP was Rs 1.10 lakh crore. Today our GDP is nearly Rs 2.3 lakh crore". FM Nirmala Sitharaman tabled this year's budget session on February 1.

Delhi Govt Extends Free Ration Scheme For Another 6 Months
In a big relief to poor people, the Arvind Kejriwal government has decided to extend its free ration scheme for the next six months. The announcement was made by CM Kejriwal during a press conference on December 20. ''Now the facility of giving free ration to the people here has been extended till May 31,'' said Arvind Kejriwal. It'll benefit around 72.77 lakh people, reported ANI.

Poor People Rises In India In Last 8 Years, Says Rahul Gandhi
Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi, on November 7 asked questions to the BJP government over the rising number of ''poor'' people in India in the last eight years. Gandhi's claim was based on a media report which he shared on Twitter. He also attacked BJP saying, ''Where're those people, who used to say 'acche din' are coming?'' ''Those in a poor category before are now being crushed,'' added Gandhi.
