China Becomes Country With Largest Number Of Alzheimer's Patients In World
China has become the country with the largest number of Alzheimer's patients in the world, the state-run Global Times reported. Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia and mostly affects people in old age. In China, however, the disease is also occurring at an increasingly younger age. Sources said, about 15.07 million people aged 60 and above in China have dementia, of which 9.83 million have Alzheimer's disease.

India Surpass China And Becomes Most Populous Country In World
Now, India is the most populated country in the world, after surpassing the record of China. As per the data released by the United Nations, with an estimated population of 1.4286 billion (142.86 crores,) India has taken the top spot on the UN list of the most populous countries, overtaking China’s population of 1.4257 billion (142.57 crores). If continuing with the population, India would need a law to control birth.

Japan Witnesses Biggest Population Drop On Record
Japan saw a massive drop in population in 2021 as the number dropped by 6,44,000. It is the biggest decline ever recorded in Japanese history. The population in Japan has been dipping for eleven years straight, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. The ministry explained that the deaths outnumbered the births, and the number of citizens leaving the country was greater than those immigrating to Japan.

Hindu Population Decreases By 75 Lakh Over 50 Years In Bangladesh
The population of Hindus reduced to 75 lakh in 50 years, while the total population doubled in Bangladesh, according to the country's latest census of 2011. As per the first census, conducted in 1974, there were 13.4 percent Hindus but the latest census revealed Hindus making up 8.5 percent of the population. The reason behind this has been reported to be an outward migration and minimum fertility rate in Hindus.

Uttar Pradesh Government To Soon Adopt Two-Child Policy
To motivate people to have smaller families, Uttar Pradesh State Law Commission initiated the work on the draft bill for the two-child policy. Elucidating the policy, Justice Mittal stated, "UP has more than 22 crore population, which is higher than many countries. So it's necessary that at some point of time one should take measures". Meanwhile, Assam government is also drafting the two-child norm.

59,995 Births Recorded In India On Jan 1; Highest Among All Countries
Making a record, India accounted for 59,995 births out of global figure of approximate 3,71,504 baby births on the New Year’s Day. Leopard Population In India Soars By Over 60%; Highest In MP
