Man Allegedly Rapes 16-Year-Old Girl In Vehicle: Gurugram
In the Farrukhnagar area, a man lured a 16-year-old girl from his village, and raped her in the vehicle, the police said on March 2. The accused identified as Sanjay alias Chhota has been registered under POCSO Act and is currently absconding. The matter came into light after victim's mother filed a missing report. Acting upon complaint, the police recovered the girl from the school gate, said SHO Vikas Kumar.

1 Held Under POCSO Act For Sexually Assaulting 3-Year-Old: Tamil Nadu
In Tamil Nadu's Trichy, Thiruverumbur police have arrested a man for sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl. The accused identified as Arockiya Savaridasa, is a resident of Olaiyur village. The accused took the child to a secluded spot and sexually assaulted her. When people living nearby heard the child’s screams, they rushed to the spot. Police booked the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Rape Survivor's Father Shoots POCSO-Accused Man In Gorakhpur
In a sensational incident, a rape accused man was allegedly shot dead by a rape survivor's father near Collectorate in Gorakhpur on January 21 at 1.30 pm. The POSCO accused has been identified as Dilshad Hussain, a resident of Muzzafarpur, Bihar. "We have recovered the weapon and also caught the assailant," said ADG Akhil Kumar. Meanwhile, the action against policemen has been initiated who were deployed outside the court gate.

Priest Gets Life Sentence By Mumbai Court For Raping Minor Boy
In Mumbai, a special POSCO court Judge Seema Jadhav on December 29 awarded life imprisonment to a catholic priest for raping a 13-year-old boy in 2015. Reportedly, the boy was raped by Father Johnson Lawrence in church and was sent to jail after the victim's parents registered a complaint on December 15 in 2015. The priest was found guilty under sections 6 and 12 of the POCSO act.

TV Actor Pearl V Puri Booked For Allegedly Molesting, Raping Minor
The Mumbai Police on June 4 booked television actor and Naagin-3-famed Pearl V Puri for allegedly raping and molesting a minor girl. Reportedly, the actor has been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act. As per sources, the actor took sexual favours from the minor girl, assuring her roles in television serials. Meanwhile, Puri has been sent to police custody.
