Mumbai Potholes Raises Alarming Concerns

Mumbai potholes are constantly raising concerns, especially during the monsoon and rainy season. Reports of thousands of potholes coming up on Mumbai’s roads has become an annual situation during monsoon for the past several years. Every year, the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) spends hundreds of crores on filling up these potholes. This May, it allocated ₹250 crores for only filling up potholes and started the work.

BMC To Charge Rs 2,000 For Each Potholes Due To Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations

Mumbai Municipal Corporation Repairs 15,000 Potholes In Just 30 Days

In just one month, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) repaired over 15,000 potholes.  On August 14, the BMC said, 22,988 road craters have been filled, especially in Andheri West, which remained the most affected by potholes.  Due to the monsoon weather, Mumbai roads were filled with potholes, causing water logging areas.  The work has been done with the tender of Rs 7 crores, for better roads, ahead of the Civic elections.

Class II Girl Asks Karnataka CM To Patch Potholes In Bengaluru

Dhavani N (7) from Karnataka's Tumakuru has gone viral on the internet for pleading to Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai, to fix potholes in Bengaluru. Furthermore, she offered her "pocket money" for it. Reportedly, her mother got her leg fractured in an accident due to potholes nearly two years ago. ''Please get these potholes fixed. They've become death traps. Many people are losing lives,'' appealed Dhavani.
