Kerala HC Permits Pregnancy Abortion At 28 Weeks For Minor Rape Victim
Kerala High Court granted medical termination of a juvenile rape victim's 28-week pregnancy. The "anguish caused by continuation of the pregnancy can be presumed to cause a grave injury to the mental health of the 14-year-old girl," said a medical board. HC also stated if the fetus survived the surgery, the hospital must provide the infant with the finest medical care possible so that it grows into a healthy kid.

Delhi HC Rejects Abortion Plea Of 23-Week Pregnant Unmarried Woman
An unmarried woman who seeked permission to abort her 23-week pregnancy, has been denied permission by the Delhi HC. Notably, the woman is 25-years-old and has conceived the baby in a consensual sexual relationship. Her plea has been rejected invoking Rule 3B of Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) Rule 2003, which doesn't allow pregnancies above 20 weeks in a consensual sexual relationship to be aborted.

Woman Gives Birth In 5-Star Hotel's Toilet, Abandons Baby In Dustbin: Mumbai
In a five-star hotel in Mumbai, a 41-year-old woman after giving birth in the toilet, left the baby in the dustbin, on May 30. The baby was found when the housekeeping staff heard it crying, at around 10:30 am. The baby has been admitted to new-born intensive care unit at Nair hospital. The woman, upon inquiry, revealed that she abandoned the baby after having a personal dispute with her husband.
