Principal Burnt Alive By Ex-Student In Indore, MP
In Madhya Pradesh's Indore, Vimukta Sharma (54) woman principal of BM College of Pharmacy, was critically injured after an ex-student allegedly poured petrol on her and set her ablaze. The incident occurred on February 20, when ex-student Ashutosh Shrivastava (24) set ablaze her over marksheet issue. The victim suffered serious 80% burn injuries and is said to be in a critical condition at hospital.

6 Held For Boards Paper Leak In Ghazipur: Uttar Pradesh
The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh has held six people for helping students cheat in Class 10 and 12 Board examinations in Ghaziabad district. In addition, The principal, teacher, and other staff members were demanding bribes of Rs 25,000 from students appearing for the examinations. Notably, the police have registered a case under the relevant section and the accused were taken into police custody for questioning.

Punjab Principal Arrested For Alleged Sexual Assault For Over 14 Years
In Punjab's Mohali, a 54-year-old school principal has been arrested for sexually assaulting girls over 14 years. The accused was arrested after 198 photos and videos, allegedly filmed by the principal was leaked and went viral, on February 15. The matter was unaddressed for years, as no one from the village dared to complain due to his political connections. The Police has formed a SIT and is investigating the matter.

UPSC Postpones Recruitment Process For Principals' Post Amid COVID-19
The UPSC has decided to halt the recruitment process to fill the 363 posts of principal lying vacant in the Directorate of Education, Education Department, and Government of NCT of Delhi. Reportedly, an advertisement welcoming candidates for the role was posted on the UPSC website on April 24. However, it has now been deferred due to the increasing COVID-19 cases in the country.
