UP BJP Minister Rakesh Sachan Receives One Year Jail Sentence In Connection With Arms Act Case

Rakesh Sachan, the MSME Minister in Yogi Adityanath's Uttar Pradesh government, was convicted to one year in prison in the 1991 Arms Act case by a Kanpur court on August 9. Sachan is the Uttar Pradesh government's director of medium, small, and micro companies, as well as khadi. Sachan left the Congress soon before the assembly elections earlier this year and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Supreme Court has decided to lower the value of the personal bond of two defendants, Ramkrishna Premchand Dubey and Satishchandra Bhagwatiprasad Mishra, who were each sentenced to three years in prison in connection with 26 different cases of cheating.
