India To Ban 54 Chinese apps That Pose Threat To National Security
The government of India has issued an order to ban 54 Chinese apps, citing that these applications pose a threat to national security. The 54 Chinese apps include Beauty Camera: Sweet Selfie HD, Viva Video Editor, and more. As per reports, these apps are either a cloned version or have similar functionality and privacy issues. Notably, India had banned 59 Chinese mobile applications including TikTok, WeChat, and Helo in 2021.
