Bihar CM Breaks Silence On Murder Of Journalist In Araria District
Responding to the murder of a journalist in Araria district, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on August 18, termed the incident 'unfortunate'. Speaking to reporters, the Bihar CM said, "It is a very unfortunate incident. How can someone kill a person this way? I have asked the officials to inquire into it." Notably, in a shocking incident, a Dainik Jagran journalist was shot dead in Arari district, Bihar.

MP Adminstration Orders Survey Of stepwells, Borewells After Temple Incident
In view of the recent floor, sinking incident at Baleshwar Temple in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the concerned officials ordered for survey of all stepwells and borewells. Notably, on Ram Navami, a tragic incident occurred at the temple, killing 36 people and leaving many injured, when the floor of the temple sank. Reacting to the tragedy, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan ordered a probe and announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia.

UP Sub Inspector Suspended For Taking Rs 20,000 Bribe, Probe Underway
In Uttar Pradesh's Ballia, a Sub Inspector, accused of taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 was suspended, on September 4. Dinesh Sharma, the suspended officer who was posted as Sonadhi Police outpost in charge, allegedly asked for a bribe in an audio clip to withdraw a case against an accused. Furthermore, a case has been registered and a detailed investigation has been ordered against Dinesh Sharma.
